Numina Group announced Batchbot 2.0, an AMR plus voice-directed picking system aimed at high-volume e-commerce and wholesale fulfillment. The design uses high-capacity, decoupled carts that can carry 35-plus orders per trip so that fewer robots travel and operators walk less. Combined with Numina’s RDS warehouse execution and control software, the vendor claims more than 300 lines picked per operator per hour, 50–60 percent labor reduction, 99.9 percent accuracy through voice and scan validation, and about 20 percent faster AMR travel versus the previous generation.

At NorthShore Care Supply, an e-commerce medical supplier, those figures are already being reported in live operation. Unlike many goods-to-person or person-to-goods AMR systems that keep a robot tightly coupled to a small batch, Batchbot 2.0 treats the cart as a dense mobile buffer so the robot can drop a loaded cart, pick up an empty one, and keep moving. RDS orchestrates robot assignment, batch building, and exception handling against the host WMS.

The launch is positioned as a way for mid-size and growing DCs to raise density and throughput without installing a full goods-to-person grid or AS/RS.
